Pastor Kevin Colquhoun

Driven, passionate, Kingdom-minded: it doesn't take long for one to recognize that, before being an evangelist, a husband and a father, Kevin Colquhoun is a child of God. Kevin grew up in church but, like so many young people, was curious to see what was “out there”. Being around people who were doing things Christians should not be doing was enough for this young man to recognize that the world had nothing to offer him. Never intending to be a preacher, it was a desire to know God and study His Word that led Pastor Kevin to teach Sunday School, serve as Youth President, preside over the Christian Education Department, and preach the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ. Though content to stay in Jamaica, God turned his life upside down when He sent him from the sunny island to a snowy country to continue to expand the Kingdom. It wasn’t a road he chose for himself, “but God sometimes creates situations in our lives that are unpleasant to fulfill His purpose”

Pastor Kevin and Evangelist Feliceta Colquhoun

Married on October 7, 2000, to his wife Evangelist Feliceta, affectionately known as Sis. Jackèe, she has played an active role in the body of Christ. In addition to being the choir director for 10 years, teaching Sunday School, and serving True Holiness Apostolic Church (Toronto) as a Missionary, Sis. Jackèe has always found herself immersed in Church Administration. She spent her 20 years at True Holiness working as the administration; she served as Youth Secretary, True Holiness International Secretary, and subsequently as the General Secretary, a role she fulfilled until she received the call to expand in ministry. Sis. Jackèe holds a L.E.A.P. (Leadership Essentials & Apostolic Principles) Certificate and a Christian Counseling Certificate both from Wilson University.

The Lord commissioned the family to move to the City of Cambridge, Ontario to answer the call to serve souls who were without an apostolic church home. This vision came to fruition in September of 2013 with the celebration of the Grand Opening of Wisdom & Life Apostolic Church – Cambridge. Since then, Pastor, Evangelist Colquhoun and their four children continue to use their God-given skills and their heart for the Lord to follow God’s calling to serve and minister to souls in and around the City of Cambridge and beyond. The cry of their hearts is to bring the Gospel to the un-churched of every background. Though the work is great, their passion to reach people coupled with the drive to do the will of God makes Pastor Kevin and Evangelist Feliceta vessels through whom the Hand of God Touches Man.

" According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, to the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved."

[Ephesians 1:4-6]

WHAT WE BELIEVE

WE BELIEVE that the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God, written by holy men of old as they were moved by the Holy Ghost  (II Peter 1:20-21).

WE BELIEVE in one God who is Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent. We believe that He was revealed once as Jesus Christ called Son and the Word. We believe that Jesus is the Holy Spirit that gives Grace that will never leave those who trust in Him (I Cor. 8:6; Eph. 4:6; II Cor. 5:19; Rom. 8:8; Joel 2:28).

WE BELIEVE that in Jesus dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; for it pleased the Father that in Him should all the fullness of the Godhead dwell (Colossians 2:9, 1:19).

WE BELIEVE in the Virgin Birth. Jesus is the beginning of the creation of God, the first born of every creature; he is the embodiment of the unseen God, both in Heaven and on Earth. He was God manifested in flesh (Matt. 1:23; I Tim. 3:16; Col. 1:15, Rev. 3:14).

WE BELIEVE in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. We believe that He ascended on high and is the Holy Ghost, which was poured out at Jerusalem over 1900 years ago, and is this same Spirit that fills the hearts of those who diligently seek him today (Acts 2:14).

WE BELIEVE in baptism in water by immersion in The Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and in the baptism of the Holy Ghost, speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.  This constitutes the new birth (Acts 2:4).

WE BELIEVE in living a holy and sanctified life.  We believe that one day there will be a glorious catching away (The Rapture) of the saints when Jesus returns in the clouds, in Glory, to take His people. (Heb. 12:14, I Pet. 1:15-16, James 5:14-15; I Thess. 4:14-17; Rev. 7: 9-17)

WE BELIEVE that JESUS is the only saving NAME and whatsoever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of JESUS (Acts 4:12).
